Welcome to the 23 Things program. This self-directed
program begins this week and run for 10 weeks. Since this period is filled with holidays and interruptions we're going to say that the 10 weeks finishes around the start of February.
Basically the aim of the program, as you'd have already read, is to keep up to speed with the technology a lot of our students are using. To achieve this - the program introduces, or reintroduces, you to established and emerging technologies and asks you to Blog about it. If you're feeling adventurous, there's no reason they couldn't all be done as YouTube movies ^.^
The hope is that you'll be able to put aside some time each week to get these things done. Mind you, the end date is usually flexible so that if you can't manage it a couple of weeks in a row you are able to just start again without feeling any impending dread and dropping out!
SO - the aim of this week is to get your blog set up and registered. Then you get to delve or at least shallow dive into thinking about "Life long" learning.
Good luck and enjoy.

I was reading some of the posts of attendees from week 1 and I agree: That 7 1/2 habits video isn't great.
There is a good version which floats around - but has proved unreliable to link to.
On life long learning - my latest thing has been cooking - particularly dessert type things... after all I'm going to have to eat my own cooking for the rest of my life.
Enjoying your posts people.
